| I was going to do this on Facebook, but apparently that lame site doesn't allow for long posts. Or I'm doing it wrong. Anywho, here goes. Michael Jackson conspiracy theories! Make up your own or say what you think about the following ones I made up: 1) Not dead but living it up with Tupac on some remote South Pacific island waiting for massive royalties to pour in. There's going to be a new release of his "Last Album", a record he had been working on just before he died! Furthermore, there will be many "Previously Unreleased" and "Never Heard Before" records to come. 2) Government coverup! In an effort to distract the voters from a ridiculous cap and tax bill that will cripple the industry sector some obscure agency was assigned the task of finding something that the American would find more interesting in the headlines that the Fed trying to rape us all again and succeeded! 3) this one's up to you. I've only thought of two so far... cheers! | | |
| What are the odds I'd get my NRA membership card and it being "National Earth Hour Day" on the same day?! I turned on all my lights for one hour in protest. You guys should've seen the media that turned up to report on my radicalism.
April 15th is the big day. Still need to talk to my boss about getting time off, but I think he'll be ok with that. Tea parties are going on all over the country and, thankfully (as well as surprisingly), there is one in Salem. Time not only to fight the power, but to take the power back. Check out the FreedomWorks website for information.
When China, France, England, and Russia, amongst others, are all warning Darling Obama about the dangers of socialism, then you know you've got a problem. This madness needs to end. The sooner it does, the better our futures will be. One person doesn't matter. Groups of people don't matter. We need every American to wake up and see what's happening in front of them. Unfortunately, we have this knack of waiting to the very last second before we do the right thing. Waiting, especially in this case, will makes things exponentially worse.
Both Democrats and Republicans are to blame for getting us here. In my mind both parties should be removed from power. I just don't know how. | | |
| Bug out Vehicle (BOV). In case you have to disappear for awhile, in the event of the nuclear holocaust or massive civil unrest, for example, it's a good idea to have one of these. (Or several.) The idea is to have enough stored away to survive for at least a year. Food, clothing, gas, weapons, etc., etc., etc.
Phase One would include moving yourself and your family from your home to a safe location. This would be a vehicle capable of holding a decent amount of supplies and be able to handle a least light off-road situations.
Examples:
These are more expensive ways to go. A more likely option would be an older model Chevy Blazer, with a decent diesel engine and some work done on it to make better off road. A trailer is also a good idea.
Phase Two would probably be hang out in the middle of nowhere long enough for whatever's going on to blow over. Plant a garden for fresh fruits and vegetables. For me, it'd be a comfortable little cabin, close to a field that could be farmed and with a reliable water source. There'd be a small hydroelectric dam built to provide the electricity, and stores for a very long time...
However, since all of this is highly fantastic in nature, we might as well continue to alternate plans:
My alternate plans would involve getting to an island in the middle of the South Pacific, closer to the Equator for longer growing seasons (I assume). On this island I'd build a house and have a farm. Of course I'd need options for getting there:
Option One: seaworthy sailboat. Probably the more useful of my two ideas, as a boat could be good for other purposes, such as fishing.

Option two, however, would be a lot of fun. And probably quicker than number One. Maybe I could have a boat at my island, and then I could fly there. Also, I'd need specialized fuel, which could be a problem.
Both this options would require training. It'd be fun to learn how to operate both of these.
My older brother, I still think, would be best off:
This isn't the sub he's on, but you get the idea.
It's fun being me. | | |
| That Super Bowl was probably the best one I've seen. I was going for the Steelers because I like their uniforms better, and Steelers sound cooler than Cardinals. A small part of me wanted to go for Arizona but the crowd I was with was going for them. We went to the Spirit Mountain Casino and watched it there on a huge screen with a buffet and many other people. Fun times. There was a Chevrolet Challenger on display... nice car that...
On an entirely different note I wrote both Oregon Senators for the first time today. This stimulus idea is an absolute disaster and we need to write and call our Senators to stop this, or get it severly altered. Here's a website that talks about how the money is going to spent. Enough voices may be heard...
Cheers,
Daniel

| Hokuwf calls me "bitter and vindictive." Oddly enough, just a few days after the election I feel great, as though a burden has been lifted off me. I couldn't vote for Obama as a matter of conscious, but McCain was a far cry from a decent candidate. Besides, if your entire campaign is about losing, then it's no surprise if you lose. And in all honesty I think Obama will be better for this country, just maybe not in ways we would agree about. Maybe hokuwf was referring to my comments re the president elect and his wife. Did anybody listen to his press release? He was asked if he was still going to go forward with his tax increase on the top 5%. He dodged the question by talking about his tax breaks to the other 95% and with a number of interjections (namely "uh" and "um"). His response to another question? Something along the lines of "we're not going to talk about that right now." As to America's darling sweetheart Michelle... well, I know it's all subjective and all, but did anybody like that dress? Or maybe he was referring to my houses and Ferraris. That was more of a parody on an Obama supporter I heard. I believe being able to afford something before you buy it is a good idea. And by afford I mean not only financially, but practically. Oh, and I would hardly call the New York Times a reliable source of information. They were one of the first media outlets to come out for Obama, which in my mind indicates a bias. If they are so eager to take sides when it comes to the most important job in the country, then they're obviously biased with most other things. Now it would be vindictive to say that a small part of me enjoys the fact that they're going bankrupt. To steal a phrase from Glenn Beck, "I'm not saying that I do, but I'm not not saying it either..." hehehe.
* * * Gun sales are up 300% in Texas. They're up in liberal Oregon. If they're up here, then they're probably up everywhere. Think it has anything to do with Obama wanting to bankrupt the gun companies? I'm thinking of jumping on the bandwagon here. Anybody have a suggestion for a decent conceal-carry piece? I've been looking at a Witness PCP .45ACP from EAA. But I read an article that said revolvers are the way to go. So a .357? There are some nice looking Taurus models...
Does anybody else think AIG should sink?
